What is coding ?

Coding is the process of giving a computer instructions and telling it what to do. Think of every website you visited, app you launched or ATM you used; they’re all driven by instructions someone coded.

Our world is powered by technology and demand for people who can code is ever increasing. People who are equipped with coding skills will have a significant advantage in the workplace.

Kids who learn coding at an early age boost their chances of pursuing it as a career. They also enjoy the benefit of enhanced logical thinking and problem solving skills.

Some coding benefits

Computational thinking

When kids learn to read and write code, they develop cognitive skills and learn a methodical, problem-solving process that resembles a computer.  Computational thinking can be applied to other situations aside from coding, as it is a way of thinking that solves practical problems

Perseverance

Kids learn to persist if what they are creating is not working. They are compelled to analyze what is not working, why it is not working, and figure out how to correct it until it works

Ready for the future

Demand for people who can code is on the rise. Equipping kids with coding skills at an early age ensures they are ready for a future competitive job market. Even if not pursuing a career in technology, a lot of skills gained from coding will be useful in many other areas of life

The languages
